When You Can Help

WHEN ARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED?

People need volunteers on an on-call basis for everything from providing rides to medical appointments to substituting for home-delivered-meals drivers who are out. On a regular basis to provide regular office support to agencies that serve people in need, or to be a reading partner with a student. To serve from home as a needleworker or telephone reassurance volunteer. In other words, volunteers are needed weekdays, weekends, daytimes and evenings. We have something to fit YOUR SCHEDULE!

WHEN CAN I VOLUNTEER?

Once we've met with you to discuss your skills, interests, and schedule as well as the community needs that might make the best fit, we'll refer you to those agencies, letting you know what to expect for screening, training, etc.

Some agencies will require you to have an interview, provide references, have a criminal record check, and / or a Department of Motor Vehicles record check, depending on the type of volunteer activity, the population the agency serves, and the policies their Board has determined.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT SO I CAN GET STARTED?

Right now! by emailing us at rsvp@gcscc.org or mull it over, and call us toll free at 1-877-711-7787. If we're not in, leave a message with your name and number and we'll give you a call to set a time to meet with you. -- You can come to one of our offices or we'll come to you!
